3/2/10 Where Does the Time Go?

Well, 2009 came and went and was, quite frankly, an uneventful year for us, but who really had a fruitful 2009? We can only move forward and hope for an amazing 2010. Contact us today for your music needs.

Keep an eye out for some big site changes in the coming months!

7/1//2009 Pre School Here We Come!

S2N Turns 4 this month and we're very eager to see what pre school is all about. Kindergarten is next year, but we won't think about that since it gives us anxiety.

Our current projects include a wonderful audio id for a client of our good pals over at Schwadesign. Josh and Jeremy do an excellent job at keeping us in line.

Thats all for now. We're still kickin'.

1/1/2009 Happy New Year

Its a new year here at S2N and we're very excited to see what 2009 will bring.

To all of our friends, family and clientele, we wish you great success in '09!

11/8/08 We Are Still Alive!

You may be asking yourself, "What's been going on at S2N lately?" Well, we are still working our magic behind the scenes and writing music regularly to add to our existing online library. There may be a new S2N site in the works, amongst other exciting changes as we approach the end of 2008. Stay tuned as we enter a new year of excellence!

Oh and did i mention, we turned 3 this past summer. We're almost ready for kindergarten.

12/19/07 RIEDC Spotlight on S2N

The nice folks over at the Rhode Island Economic Development Corporation have been kind enough to select S2N for this months Innovator Spotlight. It's funny how one person's "goin' out on a limb" is another person's "innovation", but it's great to know that such an important state agency is on the same page with us. The RIEDC does an amazing job at facilitating business growth in Rhode Island, and we are glad to have gotten the chance to know them and hopefully work with them more in the future. You can check out their opinion of us here.

9/21/07 S2N Turns Two

This past summer, Signal to Noise turned the ripe old age of two. To celebrate, well, we did what we normally do. However, our somewhat older friends over at Schwadesign turned 10! We feel that's quite an accomplishment and we were flattered when they asked us to add some of our music to their 10 year anniversary DVD. We ended up writing two original tracks that we feel came out quite nice. You be the judge. Look for these tracks to be added to the music library sometime soon.

1/24/07 Happy New Year!

I know its almost the end of our first month in 2007, but we've been so busy we totally forgot to wish you all a happy new year. 2006 was a great year for S2N with several projects from Community Music Works, and our good friends over at Schwadesign.

We're kicking off 2007 with a great opportunity composing for a television commercial produced by Embee Studio right here in Providence. Mike Bell is a great guy and we're excited to start working with him. Once the spot is complete, we'll make it viewable in our portfolio section. Speaking of portfolios, i recently overhauled the viewing capabilities of our portfolio page. Now our content streams making it a "no-wait" experience. Previously, some pieces were so large, the players were struggling to view our videos fast enough leaving the browser black for several minutes. Have no fear, though, its all running great now so check it out.

11/23/06 Portfolio Page Up!

Our portfolio page is finally up. We're making a couple tweaks here and there still, primarily to decrease load times on the video, but go check it out now. Much thanks to our mysterious html guru and to Mike for his flash skills. We'll be adding more content to this new page as time goes on, so please check back often!

11/09/06 News, News, and More News

Well, it's certainly been a while since we last updated this news section, but thats a good thing. It means we've been very busy and have lots to report! We've had the honor of working on a couple more projects with Community Music Works here in Providence. We really can't emphasize enough how much we love this organization and everything that they do for the community. In addition to that, we completed work on the original compositions for the Interlock Media documentary "Turned Out". The documentary should be available soon for rental and purchase, so keep an eye out for it. On top of that, we've recently completed work with Schwadesign for a client audio/visual presentation. We had a blast working with the uber creative folks at Schwadesign and are looking forward to future projects. Finally, a look to the future. One of our upcoming projects appears to be working with Dutchmoney on a short film that will herald Michael Corrente taking the helm as executive producer. The guys at Dutchmoney are absolutely fantastic and we're really excited to start working on the music for the film. Oh wait, just when I thought we were done, we've also moved! Please check the address on the contact page for our updated address. You'll see there that Signal to Noise has managed to squeeze it's entire studio and office setup into one little box at the post office. This is because we find that small places focus inspiration and creativity. Also please be sure to check back to see our new "projects" page that should be up next week. In there you'll actually get a taste of what we do!

5/23/06 What Have We Been Up To?

Once again it's been a little while since we've gotten the chance to update the news section here. We've been hard at work on a variety of projects lately including several projects for Community Music Works here in Providence, RI. Community Music Works has given us the opportunity to work with some amazing international composers/performers, as well as Providence's own Providence String Quartet. In addition to this, we have also been working on the DVD release of Interlock Media's documentary titled "Turned Out". There's been a lot involved with the work on the documentary ranging from audio editing to composing, but we are very excited to be working on a film that has won five festival awards so far, including "Best Documentary,Oxford Film Festival", "Boston International Film Festival, Indies Spec Best, Jury Award", and "Berkeley Video and Film Festival, Best of Festival". To learn more about the film, please check out www.interlockmedia.com.

2/7/06 Site Update

The music library has been updated this afternoon with 4 new offerings from Signal to Noise. We've had alot of content in the works during the later half of 2005 and with some final finishing touches, its ready for the library. Added songs are "Hertzs", "Milieu", "Addition Leads to Subtraction", and "Transients and Riffs." Expect frequent updates in the coming weeks. Several new contributors are very close to being announced while Jay and I are hard at work on our own pieces. Until next time, thanks for coming by.

1/18/06 New year news

Okay, so we noticed it's been a while since our last news posting and you may be asking yourself whats new with us? What have they got planned for the new year? What's so secret that they can't share? Well, to start, Signal to Noise has just finished it's move to Providence, RI. We figured it was time to move from the sidelines and into the fray (please note the new address on the contact page). We've also been busy rounding up some new contributors and content for the music library. Look forward to those announcements soon. Finally, I've been hearing whispers around here of a podcast. So stay tuned for whats to come because it's going to be an exciting year.

8/26/05 Signal to Noise website launches!

That's right! Since you're reading this, this is already old news, but very exciting for us. A lot of amazing people helped get this all off the ground, and to them we owe our gratitude. It’s a great feeling when some of the most talented musicians, designers and engineers show their support. So while you're here, look, listen, and let us know when you find something you like.

7/19/05 Matt Everett joins the ranks of Signal to Noise as a contributor

We're really excited about this one. Matt is one of those multi-instrumentalists that makes you wonder if there's anything he can't do. He has been part of bands such as The Amoebic Ensemble, The Eyesores, The Iditarod, and played on the Bonny Prince Billy album Ease Down the Road, as well as releasing several solo albums. He has also provided music for various dance pieces, circuses, movies, and plays. Yeah, he's been there and done that. Check out more about Matt in our contributors page!

7/10/05 <tfo> electro-wizard, Tim O'Keefe, brings it to Signal to Noise

<tfo> is the artistic persona of composer/producer Timothy O'Keefe. In addition to performing music, releasing music under his own label Cozy Music, creating his own production company, touring as keyboardist for The Waterlillies, being featured in Manhattan's Village Voice, Britain's Future Music and local Providence culture rag Tweak Magazine, Tim has also composed for television, film, and video games. So needless to say, when Tim decided to be a contributor to Signal to Noise, we got a little excited. Head on over to our contributors page to check out more about Tim and <tfo> !
